Ford is issuing a recall on 1998-1999 Explorers/Mountianeers, Rangers,
Mustangs, and Super-duty F-Series trucks with cruise control. The control
cable may cause the throttle to stick. The letter Ford sent out to owners
indicates that replacement cables won't be available until this summer.

Turner Network Television is airing an All-Star Tribute to Johnny Cash
on Sunday, April 18 at 8 PM Eastern. The event was taped on April 6 at
New York's Hammerstein Ballrooom. Musical guests include Willie Nelson,
Kris Kristofferson, Rosanne Cash, and June Carter Cash. During the special,
Johnny sings "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Ring of Fire". This is Cash's first
return to the stage in over a year.

STIHL has released the dates for the 1999 Timbersports Series competition.
Events will occur in Tennessee on August 12-15; Wisconsin on August 27-29,
and the championship will be in Missouri on October 2.

John Deere has introduced the model 4100N tractor. At 36 inches wide,
it is designed for work in orchards and vineyards. The tractor generates
20-hp with a 3-cylinder diesel engine.

system that includes computers worn by individual soliders to provide precise
information and reduce the "fog of war".

The new Porsche 911 GT3 set a lap record the Nürburgring track.
It is the first production car to complete a lap in under eight minutes.
Unfortunately, the car does not meet US emissions and safety guidelines
and cannot be purchased in North America.

Former NWA heavyweight champion wrestler, "Ravishing" Rick Rude, has
died at the age of 40. Rude has retired from wrestling in the mid-1990s
due to a neck injury.

version of their popular Gator utility vehicle. The ATV appears to be aimed
at golf courses which will appreciate quiet operation and no exhaust emissions.

The 16th Annual Miss Hawaiian Tropic International Finals will be held
in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 29 through May 2. The competition will be
held at the Tropicana Resort and Casino.
