Toyota Creating Alcohol Detection System
Toyota Motor Corp. is developing a system for cars that would automatically detects drunken drivers and automatically shuts the vehicle down if sensors pick up signs of excessive alcohol consumption, a news report said Wednesday. Vehicles would use alcohol sensing sweat sensors in the steering wheel, abnormal steering sensors, or a special camera that would detect if the driver’s pupils are in focus.
