Baseball is no longer America's pastime--strikes and lock outs, combined with dynasty power houses, allowed the NFL and it's hard salary cap created parity, fast action, and violent hits to take over.

And it isn't just the NFL, either--as more and more high school basketball players continue to screw up the NBA rather than developing in college, college football is growing in popularity too. Now if only they could fix the BCS.

Even the Arena Football League has survived, despite some struggles, and has had some limited partnerships with the NFL.
